About Me:
I am a full time professional DJ from Bristol in the United Kingdom. I have been playing out on the Professional circuit for the past 14 years and for the past 4 years, this has been my full time profession. I have many years experience in many types of venues (Including residencies in nightclubs, bars, Hotels and Discotheques) both Internationally and in the UK. This has meant I have covered a vast number of different styles and music needs of clients.
I am a very outgoing, confident and friendly person without having a Huge ego and have always been popular with clients at the venues I play.
Work History:
Before becoming a full time DJ, I always worked in the care sector mainly with homeless people with Drug dependency issues and mental health problems. I also worked with Deaf and Blind people and am skilled in British Sign Language to interpreter level.
With regards to my DJ history, I started out at an early age and had a mobile disco playing weddings etc from the age of 16. It is very difficult to list all venues in the short space available, but to give you some idea of my skills I will present a small showcase below.
2007-2008: Residencies at Qushi Club, Krakow and Ampstrong, zakopane. Both in Poland. Music policy: Commercial House. Ampstrong would also include playing private hire partys. Music for this could be anything from Rock through Disco to Techno.
2006-2007: Resident at BJ’s , Bahrain. This was a very busy western discotheque. Music policy was a mixture of House, RnB, latin, Reggaeton and Hip Hop. I also played 80’s and 90’s nights and was warm up DJ for many A list guests. This club closed down due to a fatal shooting.
2004-2006: I was Resident at 2 clubs in Zakopane, Poland. Va Va Voom and Ampstrong and played many guest slots in Krakow, such as Cien, Prozak and Ministerstwo. Music policy always varied but was mainly RnB and Funky house.
Before 2004: I was based in the United kingdom. I played many venues up and down the country including Residencies at:
Boiler room, Birmingham. Music. Lounge, Deep house and Funk.
Tarnished Halo, Birmingham. Music, Funk, 70’s Disco and House.
AnB, Birmingham. Lively pub that required a whole range of music played nightly.
Batey’s , Bath. Very busy Pre club bar. House and RnB.
I have also played many private bookings with a band. I played with them for 3 years doing a variety of Hotel and private residence bookings for Weddings, birthdays and Christmas seasons.
MUSIC:
I have always had a love for music, whatever the style. This has led me to become a very Knowledgeable and talented DJ. Up until recently I had a vinyl collection of over 10,000 units and a CD collection of a similar size. The best of which has been converted into Digital Wav files and I now use Rane Serato Scratch using a dedicated high spec laptop and Data disc’s played on regular CD or Vinyl decks.
This means I am able to travel with a vast quantity of music to suit many crowds and venues. The music files I use are 320kbs mp3 and wav. I do not use any lower bit rates for quality purposes. All my Music is either ripped from my collection or purchased through Beatport, Juno and Xpressbeats. I am on a number of record company mailing lists and subscribe to monthly CD’s from promo only and DMC. This means I am always up to date with most styles of music and am usually able to meet client requests.
I am able to play a cross section of music depending on what the venue and crowd require. This includes. Commercial house, Funky and Electro house, RnB, Hip Hop, Latin/Salsa, 70’s Disco, 80’s/90’s. Lounge, soulful house and Chillout.
I also have vast collections of Indi, Rock, Pop, Arabic house and party music, should it ever be needed. Personally, I am as happy playing a wedding disco or birthday as I am playing a dark basement electro party. This is reflected in my performance as a DJ as I love playing music full stop and have no bias towards anyone’s taste!
